🛡️ Acceptable Use Policy

Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Attempt unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
• Engage in harassment, hate speech, or abusive conduct toward our team
• Build products or content that are illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell our client portal or proprietary tools without permission
• Use our services to spam, phish, or distribute unsolicited bulk communications

Content Standards

Any content you ask us to build, publish, or promote (websites, ads, emails, videos) must not contain illegal material, hate speech, sexually explicit content involving minors, content that promotes violence, or material that infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to decline projects that violate these standards, with a partial refund of unused fees where applicable.

Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in suspension of services, termination of your agreement without refund, and/or referral to law enforcement where required. We will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy minor violations where reasonably possible, except in cases of illegal activity or security threats.

©️ Intellectual Property Policy

Client-Owned Deliverables

Upon full and final payment, all custom deliverables created specifically for your project — including website code, designs, copy, video files, and brand assets — become your property. You receive full commercial usage rights with no further royalties owed to NexisLab, except for any third-party licensed components disclosed at delivery.

NexisLab-Retained IP

NexisLab retains ownership of our pre-existing intellectual property used to deliver your project, including: internal frameworks, proprietary code libraries, design systems, methodologies, templates, and tools. Where these are incorporated into your deliverable, you receive a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them as part of your project — but you may not resell or redistribute them as standalone products.

Third-Party Assets

Stock photography, fonts, plugins, icon sets, and other third-party assets used in your project remain subject to their original licence terms. We only use assets under licences compatible with your intended commercial use, and we provide a full licence manifest at project handover.

Portfolio & Marketing Rights

Unless you opt out in writing, NexisLab retains the right to showcase completed work (screenshots, case study data, video excerpts) in our portfolio, website, social media, and pitch materials. We never disclose confidential business information in these showcases — only the visual and creative output.

📄 Licensing & Subscription Terms

Software Licences

Where NexisLab provides access to proprietary software, dashboards, or tools as part of your engagement (e.g., a client portal or analytics dashboard), you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that software for the duration of your active contract. This licence terminates automatically upon contract termination. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or sublicense the software.

Digital Product Policy

If you purchase a digital product from NexisLab (templates, design kits, courses, or pre-built components), the following applies: digital products are licensed, not sold — you receive usage rights as specified at purchase. Digital products are delivered electronically and, due to their nature, are generally non-refundable once downloaded or accessed, except where required by law or where the product is materially defective.

Subscription Terms

Subscription-based services (monthly retainers, recurring tool access) renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled with the notice period specified in your plan (typically 30 days). You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel via your account manager or the client portal. Price changes to subscription plans will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will not apply retroactively to the current billing period.

Membership Terms

Where NexisLab offers a membership programme (e.g., partner network, priority support tier), membership benefits are personal to the account holder and may not be transferred or shared without written consent. Membership fees, where applicable, are non-refundable for the current term but may be cancelled effective at the next renewal date.

Download Policy

Digital files made available for download (final deliverables, source files, brand assets) remain accessible via your client portal for 24 months following project completion. After this period, files may be archived and require a request to NexisLab support for retrieval. We recommend downloading and backing up all final files promptly upon delivery.
